ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO HEALTH SCIENCE DEGREE COURSES:
4.1 The candidate must be an Indian National.The candidate must be registered with State CET cell, Mumbai through online application on
website of State CET Cell.
4.1.1 Indian Citizen
4.1.2 Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Candidate will be eligible for Government / Corporation /
Government Aided / Private unaided college for academic year 2023-24. Provided such candidates
have obtained the OCI status before 04/03/2021 and also have passed 10th & 12th from the State of
Maharashtra and should be domicile of Maharashtra or staying in state of Maharashtra for minimum
period of 10 years. (As per Annexure – CC and Hon’ble Supreme Court Order in W.P (C) No. 891 of
2021 dated 03/02/2023)
4.1.3 Eligibility for Institutional Quota :- AAny eligible candidates on All India basis can be admitted
including Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), as well as Outside
Maharashtra candidate (OMS) who had appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test and
declared eligible for admission to BUMS Courses respectively, in accordance with inter-se-merit
amongst candidates who apply for institutional quota seats. These seats will be filled by Competent
Authority through CAP. (As per Notification No.MED.1016/C.R.69/16/Edu-2 of Medical Education
and Drugs Dept., Government of Maharashtra dated 18/04/2017) (Annexure - S), (As per
Government of India Gazette F. No. BOA/Regulation/UG/7-10/2021, dated 16/02/2022) (Annexure -
DD), (As per Government of India Gazette F. No. 11-76/2021-BUSS (Unani-U.G.Regl.), dated

Undergraduate (UG-BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) & Postgraduate (PG/MD/MS) courses of Ayurveda,

4.2 Domicile of Candidate:- The Candidates must be Domicile of Maharashtra (Except candidates under clause 4.1.3,
4.1.4, 4.7, 4.8, Annexure C and E).
4.3 The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 2005 to be eligible for all Heath Science Courses. The Birth
certificate indicating name of the candidate, Secondary School Certificate i.e. SSC or equivalent examination certificate or
School Leaving Certificate endorsing the date of birth will constitute a valid proof.
4.4 The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness at the time of Document
Verification as per proforma. (Annexure-“H”)
4.5 The candidate must have passed the SSC or equivalent examination from an Institution situated in the state of
Maharashtra. (Please refer 4.1.3, 4.1.4, 4.7, 4.8, Annexure "C" & Annexure "E" for exception) Exemption – Candidate who
has passed SSC or equivalent examination in 2017 or prior to that, from an institute outside the State of Maharashtra is
also eligible to seek admission, provided he has passed HSC or qualifying examination from an institute in the State of
Maharashtra and also possess Domicile Certificate issued by the authority, who is competent to issue such certificate in
the State of Maharashtra for educational purpose gazette no. MED-1018/C.R. 405/18/Edu-2 dated 20/04/2019.
4.6 The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/12th Standard) or
equivalent examination, from an Institution situated in the State of Maharashtra (Please refer 4.1.3, 4.1.4, 4.7, 4.8,
Annexure"C" & Annexure "E" for exception) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) at the
time of document verification.
4.6.1 Eligibility criteria of Qualifying Examination for various courses
4.6.1.1 For BUMS: A candidate belonging to OPEN Category and EWS Category must have obtained not less
than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or
equivalent) Examination. A candidate belonging to constitutional reservation and constitutional
reservation with PWD claim must have obtained not less than 40% (i.e. 120 out of 300) marks in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. Person with
disability (PWD) candidate in General category must secure not less than 45% marks (i.e. 135 out of
300) in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination or
as decided by the respective Central Council.
* Admission to BUMS Course is subject to the grant of FRA, Mumbai as well as eligibility by
Maharashtra University of Health Science, Nashik.
* The following certificates in original and their attested photocopies must be
Produced/ submitted for scrutiny at the time of physical document verification, as
well as at the time of admission.

XII.Document Supporting Religious Minority Status of the candidate:-
(a) The person belonging to Muslim Minority have to produce School leaving certificate stating that Candidate belongs to
Muslim Minority, or Certificate from Religious place that they belongs to Muslim Minority, and
(b) Affidavit stating that they belong to Muslim Minority.
Fees: College fee as prescribed by Fee Regulating Authority
As per NEET BROCHURE UG 2022 16.2 Penalty for Lapse of seat at Government/Government Aided/Private unaided
College (Ayush Course): Any candidate who resigns a seat after cut off date from Government/Government Aided/Private
unaided College (Ayush Course) will have to pay Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rs. Three lakhs only) as penalty.
INSURANCE SCHEME:
All selected candidates will have to submit DD/Pay order of Rs. 650/- drawn on any nationalized / scheduled commercial
bank in favor of “NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED, KOLHAPUR." payable at Kolhapur for “Amartya
Shiksha Yojana” as per GR.MED/100/880/CR-129/Edu-1, dated 13/10/2003.
CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE :
1) Failure of the candidate in making full and correct statements in the application form and/or suppression of any
information would lead to disqualification of the candidate, even at later date. Such a candidate will be debarred
from the entire selection process.
2)It is responsibility of every candidate to submit proper documents. Any attempt to submit documents which are
not genuine will lead to cancellation of the admission of the candidate, forfeiture of the fees, deposits and
expulsion of the candidate from the college by the Competent Authority or by his authorised official. The name of
such candidate/s shall be deleted from the State Merit List and he/she will not be eligible for further rounds of the
selection process and will be debarred from the selection process. If deemed fit even criminal proceeding may be
initiated by the Competent Authority against such candidates / their parents.
If any candidate / authorized representative or person accompanying is found obstructing the counseling
and / or admission process, or trying to influence in unlawful manner/ creating nuisance, the candidate
shall be liable for disqualification from the process of selection and appropriate legal action will be taken.
The decision taken by the Competent Authority in this respect shall be final and binding.
3) The student while studying in the Health Sciences Courses, if found indulging in antinational activities, unlawful
activities or ragging in any form, contrary to the provisions of relevant Acts and Law enforced by Government, will
be liable to be expelled from the college by the Dean/Principal of the College.
4)Pursuant to orders in W.P. (Civil) No. 656 of 1999, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, has directed the Department
of Human resources Development and Education, Govt. of India, to take all necessary steps to curb the menace
of ragging and take severe action against the students involved in such activities.
5)As per the provisions of Maharashtra Act XXXIII known as “Maharashtra Prohibition of ragging Act of 1999”,
students indulging in ragging can be punished under the Act resulting in suspension, expulsion from the
college and imprisonment.
6)Any issue not dealt here in above will be dealt with when arising, fully and finally by the competent
Authority. Any amendment made by Government of India / Government of Maharashtra / Hon’ble courts
from time to time will be implemented.
